Slot Machine Mania

by Dwight and Louise Crevelt

I have seen some really bad reviews for this book; someone has even called it a complete waste of time.

I have to disagree in part. Although I admit that there are some parts of the book that are really useless i.e. Stories about people who have won and the exact numbers they won are really a waste of time.

However Dwight Crevelt obviously knows how slot machines work, and if you haven’t been told before, the book certainly explains that quite clearly.

The book contains some interesting information on how people have tried to cheat slot machines, and how the manufacturers have countered every method.

The part I found most useful about the book, and I have seen some of the information found in this book quoted on websites, is the section on the history of slot machines.

In my opinion the book is worth the read, as long as you skip over the parts of who won what.

If what you are looking for is information on how to beat slot machines, it’s not in this book. This book is simply an explanation of how it actually works and where it comes from.

About the Authors:
Dwight is an engineer in the slot machine industry and has worked at companies like IGT, Mills-Jennings and Gamex.

Louise is a former instructor of English at the University of Las Vegas and a slot machine enthusiast.
